What it is, who it's for, what it solves
What it is. A benchtop veterinary analyzer combining AI-assisted complete blood count, digital blood-cell morphology, and fluorescence immunoassay testing in one unit.
Who it's for. General and independent small-animal practices that want in-house hematology plus a broad immunoassay menu without operating two or three separate instruments — and without sending inflammatory, renal, endocrine, cardiac, and infectious-disease markers out to a reference lab.
What it does. Runs a 43-parameter CBC with morphology flagging in about 9 minutes, and fluorescence immunoassays in roughly 4–10 minutes depending on the assay, on the same bench.
What it solves. Consolidates hematology, morphology, and immunoassay into one footprint; brings send-out markers in-house for same-visit decisions; and gives a clinic in-house diagnostics without an instrument-reagent contract sized for a large hospital.
Key capabilities
- 43 reportable CBC parameters — 20 white-cell, 16 red-cell, 7 platelet — with abnormal-morphology flags.
- AI trained on veterinary-specific datasets for automated blood-cell detection and classification.
- Real-time digital imaging with morphology flags including spherocytes, ghost RBCs, acanthocytes, stomatocytes, and platelet clumps.
- Fluorescence immunoassays on the same platform, typically 4–10 minutes.
- Cartridge-contained reagents for hematology — no external reagent bottles or internal fluidics lines to clean and maintain.
- Standalone operation on a 9-inch Android touchscreen with built-in thermal printer, cloud connectivity, mobile access, and LIS integration support.
Where it fits in your clinic
- Sick-visit triage: a same-visit CBC with morphology review before the patient leaves the room.
- In-house inflammatory and pancreatic workup: c-CRP, f-SAA, cPL, and fPL without a send-out delay.
- Endocrine and cardiac markers on demand: TT4, TSH, cortisol, progesterone, and NT-proBNP run in-clinic.
- Infectious-disease screening: parvovirus, distemper, heartworm, FeLV/FIV, Giardia, and related assays on the same reader.
An honest look at where it fits

Where the VM2 fits

How the economics work
The instrument price is the smallest part of what an analyzer costs over its life. What matters is cost per reportable result across the instrument, its consumables, and the contract you sign to run it. VM2 immunoassay and morphology consumables are platform-specific, and ClinixLynx shares pricing transparently with approved accounts rather than burying it in a bundled agreement. There is no multi-year reagent commitment and no instrument lease tied to minimum reagent volume — you size consumable spend to your actual test mix and get the per-test economics before you commit.
Is the VM2 a budget instrument?
No. It is priced on transparent economics, not brand premium. It reports a 43-parameter CBC with documented morphology flags, runs a defined fluorescence immunoassay menu, and carries full published specifications and a defined service path. What you are not paying for is the channel margin and marketing overhead embedded in incumbent pricing. That is what makes the economics work — not a compromise on the platform.

Consumables & test menu
The VM2 runs a platform-specific consumable line. Current menu spans inflammation and pancreatic (c-CRP, f-SAA, cPL, fPL), renal (renal biomarker), hormones (progesterone, cortisol, TT4, TSH), cardiac (canine and feline NT-proBNP), and infectious disease (parvovirus, distemper, adenovirus, coronavirus, heartworm, Leishmania, FeLV, FIV, Giardia, plus selected combination tests). Morphology kits are available for blood, with feces and urine kits in trial release.
Test availability varies by assay and market. VM2 immunoassay consumables are Seamaty-specific. The platform does not support 5-in-1 combination cards.

What do 100 tests really cost your clinic?
Approved clinic accounts can use our cost calculator with live ClinixLynx pricing for both the QT3 chemistry and VM2 hematology analyzers, and plug in their own numbers.
- Compare your cost per 100 tests against IDEXX reference-lab send-out, Catalyst, ProCyte, or Zoetis VetScan, at your contracted rates.
- See year-one total cost, including the annual minimums that come with "free" placed analyzers.
- Own your analyzer outright: no contract, no annual minimum, consumables only as you need them.
Pricing is available to verified veterinary practices. Better diagnostics → smarter decisions → healthier animals.
